Public Health Decades

Public health has evolved significantly over the years, from controlling infectious diseases to focussing on population health, health promotion, health protection and primary prevention of diseases and injuries. This means that there have been many milestones over 100 years. Here is a preliminary list of milestones — we invite you to add to it. At the end of the year we will select the top 100 milestones in public health (and if you have suggestions on how best to do that, please let us know!).
