1943: VD (STIs) and future happiness

“Colonel Williams spoke at some length and dealt with many angles of the problem of Venereal Disease Control. He said that the situation a few years ago was serious; now it was grave, threatening the military effectiveness of the personnel of the armed services and the usefulness of the worker in war industry as well as placing the future happiness of the Canadian home in jeopardy.”
